  • The Battle of Guilford Court House was fought on March 15, 1781, during the American Revolutionary War.  Major General Nathanael Greene and the Continental troops and militia inflicted heavy casualties on the British. More than 25 percent of Cornwallis’s men were killed, wounded or captured during the battle. This battle is considered a turning point in the war for American independence.
